Welland Campus Spring Power Shutdown
From April 30 to May 3, 2026, Niagara College’s Welland Campus will be closed for major upgrades to the electrical infrastructure to increase capacity and improve operational resilience.
These scheduled upgrades support our Sustainability Plan and carbon reduction goals, supporting long-term operational and environmental priorities, as well as the new Health Education Building and future campus projects.
The dates – between Winter-and-Spring Term – were carefully selected in consultation with academic departments to minimize disruption, and contractor availability.
To ensure everyone’s safety, access to campus will be unavailable while the work is being completed. Please note that campus doors will be locked and there will be limited exterior power and lighting in campus parking lots.
- Please take any materials or belongings you need before the closure begins on April 30.
- Students should check Brightspace for program-specific information about adjustments to academic programming during this time. WC support services may be available via alternate delivery, and students can continue to access in-person support and services at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
